A journey to a destination that took a lot of courage and consideration.
It is not every day that I find myself in a war torn country, with the Australian government flashing red high alerts… DO NOT TRAVEL. So why was I there?
You can find out more of my Afghanistan experience by checking out ‘Mahboba’s Promise’ and ‘Orphans & Widows of Afghanistan’ in the doco section of the website.
Even though it was dangerous and definitely the biggest photography gig I have experienced so far, I learnt so much and am forever grateful for the opportunity to go. It has propelled my work to another level and helped me realise my dreams.
The terrain of Afghanistan is breathtakingly beautiful and the people warm & humble. I can only hope that my photography helps to educate, inspire and aid in creating a better future for the people of Afghanistan.
